Product updates

This special release focuses on two main updates to the User Interface (UI).

  • A new login screen for your JAVLN platform, with a new look that is easier to read at all resolutions.
  • The JAVLN navigation sidebar has been updated to improve usability.

Big speed improvements across the JAVLN Platform are also part of this release. Faster load times, smoother navigation, and quicker results in the screens used most will be experienced by all customers. Some of the areas involved are:

  • Faster client screens
  • Quicker payment processing and search
  • Smoother multiquote process
  • Faster, more reliable reporting
  • Improved behaviour of updates in the client records

Performance Enhancements

Key changes of this release involve:

  • updating the BSB (Bank State Branch) number format for Australian banks, which now requires a 6-digit format without a hyphen; attempting to use the older, hyphenated format will result in a validation error, and
  • a new restriction prevents users from cancelling an older policy version if a future-dated version exists, requiring the cancellation of the newer policy first.

2025.22 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

 

This release focuses on bugfixing together with an enhancement for the Multiquote functionality. This now allows for

  • significantly longer Insurer Reference codes of up to 255 characters, complete with validation to prevent exceeding this new limit.

The bugfixes primarily address issues related to financial Transactions, including solving a problem where policies with negative premiums were not correctly marked as closed and eliminating an error that produced duplicate rows when searching for receipts using a Journal Transaction ID. Furthermore, the system now ensures that the Branch ID for financial transactions is correctly inherited from the policy, resolving potential visibility problems for users with limited branch access.

2025.21 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

Key enhancements of this release include:

  • Improved behaviour of Insurer Batch payments, which now features safeguards to prevent inaccurate postings, such as checking for zero-paid payments or duplicated policies.

The bug fix section addresses multiple issues, including correcting the stamp duty calculation on negative endorsements, fixing date display errors on coinsurance cancellations, and resolving problems that prevented the download of various Fusion and ecrion reports.

2025.20 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release focuses on fixes across different functionalities, including endorsements, migrated policies and Admin.

Key enhancements include:

  • A migration script that will update the "Carrier due date" field for existing policies, using the carrier's current Terms of Trade.
  • A new system parameter allows users to disable the Financial Strength Rating (FSR) validation for carriers, which was previously a mandatory check before issuing quotes.

Several bug fixes are also addressed, including issues with endorsements not inheriting correct premium rates and errors encountered when managing migrated policies or endorsing policies with expired carrier contracts.

2025.19 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release focuses on

  • Relocating the "FSRA Type" field for improved accessibility across client and policy screens, now independent of the "Premium Funding Add-on," enabling
  • Editing of payment terms for cancellations within the "Edit Payment Plans" functionality. Additionally, it details an
  • Automatic migration of existing broker fees to support advanced fee functionalities. The update also features a significant
  • Security enhancement by immediately logging out users when initiating a password change.

Several bug fixes address issues ranging from premium funding loan requests for endorsed renewals, batch payments involving invoice-split policies, driver-to-license associations in quotes with multiple drivers, referral management and display errors for migrated and coinsured policies.

2025.18 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

Key updates in this release include

  • Update to journal transactions, ensuring that amounts previously handled as U/O or as an offset now correctly populate the Total Gross Amount.
  • A significant optimisation was applied to Search Screens to resolve a server error that occurred when attempting to search for quotes containing a large number of items.

Other fixes address issues such as incorrect instalment amounts in the Premium Funding summary, preventing erroneous extra transactions when removing agents from endorsements, and ensuring that policies cancelled with the "skip financials" option maintain their "migrated" status for accurate reporting.

2025.17 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release introduces

  • The availability of an editable "Closing Slip Sent" checkbox in non-financial adjustments, to update this status in posted policies. Alongside various bug fixes to improve system reliability, addressing issues like incorrect transaction generation for zero-dollar adjustments, the inability to select additional benefits for lead insurers in coinsured policies, and ensuring accurate transaction handling for endorsements and invoice splits.

2025.16 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

Key functional enhancements in 2025.15 are

  • The Edit Payment Plan availability for policies that have already been posted, including cancellations together with
  • Coinsurance Enhancements, including resolving validation conflicts when processing policies with mutually exclusive basic policies and streamlining the process for migrated coinsurance policies

This release also includes several fixes around correcting issues related to configuration updates, erroneous quote recreation, reporting inaccuracies, and duplicate zero-dollar endorsement transactions.

2025.15 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release focuses on fixes across different functionalities, including reports, policy management, and cancellations.

Key enhancements include:

  • improved performance for the Client Summary report, now supporting large CSV and newly added XLSX file outputs, the
  • ability to "Retain empty value for reporting" for Custom Attributes, ensuring the CA labels are saved in the DB even when no data is entered during the quote, plus
  • a significant update prevents the deletion of the last item during an endorsement in single quote, prompting users to either cancel the policy or add a new item first.

Bug fixes address several issues, such as ensuring cancellation versions inherit payment plans correctly and resolving display errors in policy searches and coinsurance calculations.

2025.14 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release focuses on fixes across different functionalities, including search screens, policy management, and accounts.

Key improvements to maintain accounts accuracy include:

  • ensuring that only posted transactions are available for matching procedures
  • solving the episodes of duplicate transactions recorded in the income account
  • addressing inconsistencies around the GST setting for Agent CommissionAdditionally, a parameter that was incorrectly filtering the result of a Client search has been reset to its correct default setting, and issues with policy tasks failing due to errors in the payment plan or billing ID have been resolved.

2025.13 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

The key element in this update focuses on an

  • improved management of item removals during endorsements.

Deleting the sole item within a specific product during a policy endorsement now triggers a warning pop-up informing the user that removing the last item will also delete the associated product entirely and that this action is irreversible.

This release also includes a section on various bug fixes, addressing issues related to batch payments, policy cancellations, and payment entries.

2025.12 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release gathers several enhancements for the Portfolio functionality. Key improvements include

  • a renewed layout for the policy list within Portfolio Edit, making it more user-friendly with added columns for better visibility. A significant new feature allows
  • operating directly on quotes and policies from the Portfolio Edit screen, enabling seamless workflows for approvals and renewals of multiple policies belonging to the same portfolio. Additionally,
  • a Portfolio Balance Overview section has been added for quick access to financial summaries within the portfolio.

Various fixes for issues related to quotes, payments, claims, and policy management are also part of this release.

2025.11 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release introduces

  • expanded options for searching for clients, such as by tax, business numbers, vulnerable status, and
  • the ability to designate mandatory fields on client profiles to ensure complete data capture. Additionally,
  • users will now receive a pop-up message to confirm item deletions.

Other updates involve showing both the basic policy name and risk item on claim details, plus a new currency field for bank accounts, in configurations supporting multi-currency operations.

Bug fixes for closed transactions in the accounts, Custom Attributes in reports and info displayed within the financials are also included.

2025.10 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release focuses on several user interface updates within client records and improved data validation. Specifically, the system now

  • introduces several new fields in client screens, such as "Trading Name", "Preferred Language", together with the ability to flag vulnerable clients, and
  • prevents users from entering certain special characters in text-based policy clauses.

The bug fixes included in this release address various issues across different modules, including accounting, financials, payments, transactions, and client management.

2025.9 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

Some of the key elements in this update are around improved user experience, enhanced through the addition of
  • A "Claims" tab in the Client screen for a a complete view of the insured’s status, and the
  • extended functionality of the "Associations" panel for easier access to policy-related info.

2025.8 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

Key themes in this release include

  • enhanced readability in search screens by conditionally displaying count boxes for associated items, and
  • improved financial management through a new "Outstanding" column in batch receipts. Additionally, the release introduces
  • new fields in the Client screen, specifically "Insurer ref" in the Transactions tab and "Insurer Quote Reference" in the Quotes tab, to provide more comprehensive information.

This update also addresses specific errors related to batch receipts, payments, and wordings.

2025.7 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

The key focus for 2025.6 is on enhancing accuracy and efficiency by

  • ensuring the readability of monetary values in client-related tabs and
  • an improved management of outstanding amounts in batch receipts
  • automating task assignment to the logged-in user and
  • providing enhanced visibility of risk carrier information within client transactions.

Finally, it includes a technical update regarding the storage of client branch details and better handling of fees when changing carrier contracts in multiquote.

2025.6 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

2025.5 introduces a key feature for

  • pro-rating fixed amount taxes in premium adjustments, allowing users to toggle whether such taxes are applied proportionally to the coverage period or in full.

Several bug fixes address issues within policy extensions, batch payments, cancellations and portfolio, plus minor technical changes for invoice splitting.

2025.5 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release offers enhancements specifically focused on cancellations, wordings and policy taxes, including an

  • updated tooltip functionality within the "Tax Configuration" area, offering users clear guidance on allocating taxes at different levels, and
  • addresses issues related to policy cancellations involving extensions, aiming to prevent unexpected validation errors.

Finally, 2025.4 offers an improved management of policy wordings for enriched policies.

2025.4 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This release focuses on refining existing functionalities, such as

  • financial adjustments now inheriting the basic policies of the adjusted version and
  • improving the user experience when using the JAVLN email functionality for comms about policies and claims.

Bug fixes address issues related to endorsements and the application of policy clauses.

2025.3 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This update focuses on enhancements to receipts and payments, searches and premium adjustments.

Key improvements include:

  • a new search parameter for additional policy holders in quote and policy searches, along with
  • improved visibility of outstanding amounts for future-dated policies within payment screens. Additionally,
  • Premium adjustments for fixed-amount taxes now feature a read-only "Pro-Rata amount" checkbox.

Bug fixes address issues related to editing quote extensions, adding existing policies to renewed portfolios, displaying cancellation types, and resolving an error during quote search reloading.

2025.2 Enhancements - Bug Fixes

This update improves payments and receipts, client searches and the application of policy clauses.

Key improvements include:

  • adding the "Client Payment Date" column and "Date Paid" field for clearer transaction tracking
  • the introduction of cancellation reasons and notes for receipts and payments
  • additional fields for client searches
